Weekend Away

April 5, 2010

We took a short overnight trip to Philadelphia this past weekend to celebrate Peter’s 29th birthday.  This was the first night that Alexa has spent out of the house since she came home from the hospital.

Peter’s birthday also fell on  Alexa’s first real Easter.  Ya know, the first one she was supposed to be out in the world for 🙂

swingOur hotel couldn’t have been nicer, yay for last-minute holiday weekend deals!  We visited Franklin Square Park where Alexa FINALLY seemed to enjoy the swings.  She also had her first carousel ride with Daddy.  We walked past the Liberty Bell, but were too hungry to wait in line to see it up close.  Down to South street we went for Philly cheese steaks, YUM YUM!  The city is beautiful and so charming.  It was Amber’s first trip there (during the day) to see the touristy stuff.

Please, take a peek at our weekend adventure Flickr album!
